If you are looking for an affordable way to purchase dentures in Vancouver, you may have heard that the new Canadian Dental Care Plan can be a very helpful financial solution. But how exactly does the plan work? What does it cover, and how can Integral Denture Center help you?
What Is the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan is a public plan created by the government to facilitate access to a wide range of dental-related procedures and exams. The plan covers part of the cost of various dental services and has the potential to help numerous Canadians achieve optimal oral health in a much more affordable way. Currently, seniors aged 65 or older are already eligible to apply. Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate and children under the age of 18 will be able to apply on June 27 2024, while remaining Canadians, not in these groups, will have the possibility of applying for the plan in 2025.
What is Covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The CDCP DOES NOT cover 100% of professional fees. There will be some out of pockets costs.

- Removal of teeth and roots

How Can Integral Denture Centre Help

Complete Standard and Temporary Dentures
While standard dentures are custom-made to perfectly fit the patient’s mouth, temporary dentures can be a quick and efficient solution for patients waiting to get their permanent dentures. Both options have coverage by the Canadian Dental Care Plan and offered by Integral Denture Centre. There will still be out of pocket costs.
Denture Repairs and Relines
The CDCP covers denture repair solutions in case your denture is broken. Additionally, reline services are also included in the plan and offered by Integral Denture Centre.
Placing Lining in Dentures
Over time, our gums and bone structures change, which may cause dentures to become uncomfortable. Integral Denture Centre can provide you with comfort solutions by offering efficient relining services that are covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan. (Some services will begin November 2024)
Complete Immediate and Overdentures
Overdentures are designed for long-term use. They are made to rest on remaining natural teeth and provide great stability and support. Immediate dentures, on the other hand, are often a temporary solution used after tooth extraction. Both services are covered by the CDCP and offered by us beginning November 2024.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are designed for patients who still have some natural teeth remaining and a are looking for a smooth transition to purchase more permanent solutions. These are also offered by Integral Denture Centre and covered by the CDCP beginning November 2024.
How Can You Enroll in the New Canadian Dental Benefits Plan?
To apply for the new Canadian Dental Care Plan, you will need to access the application link and provide the following information:
- Social Insurance Number.
- Date of birth.
- Full name.
- Home and mailing address.
- List of dental coverage you have through government social programs.
- You and your spouse or common-law partner must have filed your tax return for 2023 and have received your Notice of Assessment.
The application for the CDCP is done online or via phone. You can also file the application through a delegate, provided you submit your proof of delegate documents by mail. More information about the Canadian Dental Care Plan can be found here.
